Woof Double?  Is that like when a dog barks and it echos?  :chuckle:

Nice shooting.

Was calling elk during the Idaho rifle season for his brother and they came in. He dumped them with an open sight rifle. Was just using a cow call.  One ran over the hill, hit the dirt. Moment later the second one came in, hit the dirt...The rest is history haha.

Go to  http://www.northwestwolfsightings.org/Map.html if you havnt seen it already. Suprisingly these sightings are accurate in a few places. You could have a good chance at getting into wolves from the clearwater/dworshak area and North from there. Alot being seen around the stretch from Elk River and North to Clarkia.  All big timber country with good potential at getting into wolves.

Elk City(different from Elk River if your not familiar with the area) also seems to have a god population of wolves. We've got video of a big black wolf being picked on by coyotes right out of Elk City. Big *censored* wasnt even phased by the yotes, pretty cool video really.

I've been to Wallace, St. Maries, Avery to Clarkia. We went to Elk City in July to ride our ATVs and I saw the most crap there than any other places. I was going to Dworshak next week to try my luck. How about Stites ? I have a friend that lives there and swears by it. I hate going someplace blind and wasting my time and money.

Thanks for the info,

Nice to see them dead but I didn't see a pic of an elk. It's not good to go elk hunting and only see those!  :bash: If they keep shotting the wolfs then maybe next time they will see elk. Nice shooting though.

My guess is you could get into them around Stites too. Ive never spent much time around there but all that stuff off the Clearwater from Orofino East towards Montana is rumored to be pretty populated with wolves. And know a few have been killed right around Orofino. Be worth a shot!  Elk City has had packs running around there for quite sometime before wolves were ever a problem more up North like they are now.

I looked on the wolf sightings link you gave me and most of the activity is around the Dworshak area within probably 20 miles, just guessing. Thanks for the info, 'ppreciate it !!!
