I've had good luck with underwood ammo
I'd shoot something like this 90% of the time through that .460
http://www.underwoodammo.com/45coltlongcolt250grainfullmetaljacketboxof50.aspx
Then when I needed something really heavy I'd shoot the .460 mag stuff

lessen your cost some anyways, and not so obnoxious for pratice. .45LC would also work well for personal defence, it's no slouch and wouldn't punch through a person and 3 walls of your home

hog are tough critters with a hard shoulder plate which is tough to penetrate - I'd use the .460 rounds and get something designed for penetration which would mushroom well but not come apart
I'd look pretty hard at the buffalo bore with Barnes XPB
http://www.barnesbullets.com/products/components/pistol/
https://www.buffalobore.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=337
I think that'd give you some very dead hogs with good shot placement
It's way to spendy to pratice with though
Underwood has some xtp stuff, lot cheaper too.

That'd work very well too at less than half the cost

Any well stocked gun shop should either have or be able to order some for you. I always handloaded for mine, but the Buffalo Bore 360gr LBT-LFN is the same as the loads I shot. Those bullets just keep on going!

They have really cheap shipping to your door compared to any dealer online. I use them a lot.
