Somebody checking my traps

Could not have washed away the water had dropped... but I am thinking that perhaps it got pulled away...I did not see signs of struggle and it was about eight ft from the main creek in a feeder creek. Going back with chestwaders if the water continues to drop.  I was thinking if I caught a beaver or otter by the tail he could go aways before getting loose.

Hopefully the trap is merely pulled into deeper water and notcarried away by "Johnny Sneakum"

Hoping the animal moved the trap and you find both.

So, you guys can't use leg hold? here in Oregon I set leg hold with a drownder slide that way the rat or mink are under water and stone dead when I get there. Big plus is they are out of sight most times.

yes, but look at the bright side...we can smoke pot while setting out cages
