New meaning to deer hunting...
« on: December 07, 2012, 09:07:48 PM »
Was going through pictures tonight and found these... Our family friend was a wildlife vet, and would raise deer that were either injured or orphaned at our place.  So this was not a case of us catching deer and raising them as pets, they were wild and after about 2mo of hanging out at the house with us would take off and become completely wild.

Caught one!

I also got to raise a pair of bear cubs.  Their mother was killed by a falling tree in a logging... So when our friend was leaving town every week or so for a few months we raised them for about 2mo, then he finished raising them, turned them over to WDFW and they were released into the Cascades... I am in the bottom photo, I am 10 years old...

That's Awesome! That would have to bring back some memories of having bears playing on you!
