2013 archery elk opener
« on: December 15, 2012, 03:13:24 PM »
Anybody have any idea when opening day of archery elk will be in 2013?  :dunno: If it stays like it has been it should be the first Tuesday after labor day. I have to put in for my vacation by February this year. I sure wish Washington  would issue our regs.sooner like Oregon.

I would rather have the opener a week later.  NE, WA was dead on opener this year Sep 4th.

people get way to caught up in the early Sept dates..I remember the days when it was Sept1-14 forever..I killed bulls 3 years in a row on the first and 2nd ..and they were bugling. People corelate no bugling as theres no elk. This is one of the best times of the year to call in bulls and sit on wallows..once a bull gets cows its hard to pull them away

Yes, it's been the day after Labor Day for several years now and they aren't changing that next year.  FYI, I too like early Sept.  Shot my cow on opening day two years in a row now.  Much easier when they aren't all grouped together w/bulls.

The second weekend is good, but the third weekend is even better!

Kidding

I think I'll be in the woods.  West of the Pacific Crest Trail.

Probably 550.
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.
