I took my son to Disney World this year and signed us up for their Wild Africa Trek.  While they don't mention it on their website, when you get there they tell you about the 300 lb weight limit on they harness they use for the bridge over the crocodile pool.  I am now distinctly North of 300.  I am in the extra tall size so the weight has never kept me from doing things with my son before.  He still got to go on the trek with his mother, but I don't want my weight to keep me from doing things with him again.

For my son, I am in this year.

Count this guy in as well,  the only thing that motivates me more than hunting is staying alive long enough to take my kids hunting with me!

I wasnt officially in last year but it was great to follow.

April - August last year -55lbs

September to now +10lbs

I need to get back on the horse... Starting Jan 1
Having my own house will help. living with the in laws... meat and potatos every night isnt helping at all.

Goal for next year is 180 or 185 so i have some work to do.

Good luck all.... will post my starting weight on the 1st.

OK folks the start is almost here.  The site sponsors have really stepped up and donated some awesome prizes.  Here they are:

JPhelps has donated a call
Bearmanric has donated a call
Runningboard has donated
Boneaddict has donated 16x20 or 11x14 print of any photograph
Jingles has donated 1 Custom Embroidered Jacket, Size XS to 6XL
YJ Guide Service has donated a one day turkey hunt for this fall or the late late season.
DaveBTS has donated
Smokepole has donated a elk tine hearth broom

I hope everyone, whether you are in this or not thanks them and show your appreciation by using and buying from these great sponsors.  Thank you guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Remember to post your starting weight on 1 Jan in red.  Don't make the mistake I did last year and start off good and then stumble and not continue participating.  We are all going to stumble sometime during the 243 days, it's going to happen.  Just jump right back on the wagon and keep going.  Post often, it will help motivate you and help motivate other during times of struggle.  I'd like to see all of us in better health and better hunting shape.  I get the most enjoyment in the woods when I am fit.  Looking forward to getting help and motivation from all of you!!!
