gates are not the way to go! Look at western washington the roads are gated off and the natives get keys!!!! Do u think it will be any different on the east side????
No offense Jess but you are miss informed. If you know of indians that have keys to those gates they didn't get them officially.

I was just joking, I like to hike so a locked gate wouldnt bother me, just if someone messed with my rig while out hunting

So since you are new here can you give us your stance on the situation and a suggestion for a solution?

Hancock gave keys out to the tribes that asked for them in thier traditional hunting grounds around enumclaw! I grew up there and saw this first hand! Gates are not the right way to fix this problem

No need to back a newcomer into a corner.
He chose to comment in this thread, is it unreasonable to ask him his opinions? :dunno:

No, it's not unreasonable. But I would just read his post and use contextual clues as to where he stands.  Lots of folks, myself included don't really like being put on the spot. But it's a free country.

ferry co has lots of locked roads starting Dec 1 to protect wintering areas

Most of those gates up here near Curlew are not even up as I stated before. The parts are laying right next to posts that are in the ground. Vulcan Mtn is a perfect example. Up past the job corp, samething. The only gates that are up are for Forest Capitol Land.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............
