Minnesota Whitetail
« on: December 14, 2012, 04:28:08 PM »
Here are a couple of pictures of my Dad's 5x6 Whitetail from Minnesota. He has been hunting whitetail there for 46 years and this is his best one yet. This deer weighed 220 pounds hanging in the shed. You can get an idea of the size of it with my Dad standing next to it.

I don't always shoot big mule deer, but when I do, it's with a bow tech!

That's a beast! He's even closer to the camera than the deer and it still looks huge.

 :yeah:.
My uncle got a twelve pointer on the river this year.
Aunt got a nice 8 pointer, mom got a big old 10 pointer, and just up from my aunt and uncles this last week a guy got a huge 12 pointer.  These were all shot within 5 miles of each other.  The 8 and 10 on the same field just a month apart.

Nice buck but I must say he looks like the Great Pumpkin  :chuckle:

Great buck! Looks very similar to the toad that my old man shot this season.

Yes this is true. Hunting in Minnesota is all  in the woods or in the fields and the more orange you wear the better. So many hunters but almost all private property. Opening morning sounds like WWIII for about 2 straight hours! So it is wise to wear a lot of orange!
