Entiat slaughter??
« on: December 15, 2012, 06:55:14 PM »
Was expecting to see a thread on what's going on in the entiat right now. I hear its just more of the same, Indians slaughtering big mulies on their winter range. Someone have more details? Heard some info but just hearsay at this point. All I know is SOMETHING needs done before someone gets hurt or killed over this crap!

What tribes can go in there? I wish they would close it off for the winter!

"When my bow falls, so shall the world. When me heart ceases to pump blood to my body, it will all come crashing down. As a hunter, we are bound by duty, nay, bound by our very soul to this world. When a hunter dies we feel it, we sense it, and the world trembles with sorrow. When I die, so shall the world, from the shock of loosing such a great part of ones soul." Ezekiel, Okeanos Hunter

How exactly are we going to "nail them" and what are the extra wardens going to do?  Putting more man power there isn't going to do anything since they have the "right" to do this.

It's natives hunting. Nothing any warden can do about it. Maybe put some news crews up there.
Dunno.

Makes me sick.
The Oregon big three elk tags take 20ish points to draw (ok high teens but it'll be 20-25 soon enough)
NW Oregon rut deer hunts are all in the teens (for now)
Almost all WA quality deer and elk hunts are more or less OIL hunts.

Or an every year, shoot em whenever you want three month season... :twocents:

put your own lock on the gate and watch them pile up at the gate with no where to go. Then take pics of every vehicle and post pics everywhere! It will get around to the general public that doesnt get out much and paint a pretty bad picture of REALLY what is happening in the wintering grounds right now. :twocents:

With today's media outlets, opening the eyes of the general public through news stories, pictures, facebook, etc would by far be the best option in this case.
