That was an idea I had too.  I don't know what the MDF would be able to do, but making them aware would not be a bad thing.

Just wrote a short but concise email to the MDF. See how long that took...

Well hope something happens soon. This is why we have less and less quality hunts. Over hunting by the Indians. Who need to start being regulated. The governor was bought and paid for from them. Lets see if the next governor can grow some balls

We don't need that.

Entitlement programs are running this country into the ground, read into that what you will...

Really to bad about this action by a certain group of people especially when they preach that they are the caretakers of Mother Earth and her animals.

I will not say much on this forum about this but will work in other channels.  I am sick to my stomach, furious, and heart broken as to what is happening to such a special place.  The Entiat wintering grounds for mule deer is unlike any other and should be treated accordingly.  The fact that people, like the select group of Yakama's and also a select group of locals that abuse and disrespect the land and what it contains is appalling.  Trying to "lock the gates" and contain this problem of harassment, and killing of numerous trophy animals is what we have to do.  We have to preserve this area now so we can enjoy it in the future, or I am afraid it will be changed forever.  There is a lot of information being obtained now, evidence collected and sooner than later will be presented in hopes of helping us fix this problem. I agree with above statements of getting this information, pictures, names of all parties Yakama's and others that choose to continue these doings out in the media.  The news, papers, MDF, RMEF, Northwest Sportsman Mag, and even some of our wolf advocate parties may be able to push this forward.  (i know i know, i said it :) ) If more citizens are aware, the more public pressure, the more heat that is put on the Yakama tribe it will force the hands to do something or at least show their true cards.  And if you think this doesnt effect you or your hunting area, well just wait because once this is done this winter nothing will be left and they will move on to your hunting spot and start all over.  So please if you can or are close to this area please get out in the woods, do what you can, take pictures, call the game wardens etc.  Once you see with your own eyes what is happening you will feel strongly about this.  This isnt about preserving our hunting this is just doing the right thing to save these mule deer.  They deserve our help.

What a crock of BS

We have good tribes like the colville and such, they must be absolutely disgusted with how other tribes like you know who. And how they practice their "ancient" hunting and gathering ways..

Is there a book out there that gives a true documentation of how tribes managed natural resources?
