. It's how it was then and it's how it is now... I hunter

Hey Phil and Dustin,

Did your ancestors stop by Tony's market and get a half rack of Busch light on their way to Entiat or Colockum?  Did they drive a 4wheel drive truck on state and federal hiways and maintained roads?  Did they use a scoped rifle and assult weapons?
Old man Scroggie told me once that if the tribes want to claim that they can hunt when and where they want just because thats what their ancestors did, well then he should be allowed to shoot at em with a 30-30 cause thats what his ancestors did. Moral of the story: times change. Game laws change.... So should your over harvesting and wastage.
You don't have ANYTHING in common with your ancestors and you should not be allowed to do what YOU think that they used to do.

If a guy wanted to stop by and watch you enjoy some of that ethically harvested game, which place should he stop by?

i would go to pic number 2. it has a way bigger garage. this is a joke, posting pics of peoples houses.

Why,... would you prefer their address?    Its not a secret where they live. Half the people that live in the Wenatchee valley know.

I dont see why you think its a joke.  I don't see anything funny about the entire situation.  Our herds are being slaughtered and there is nothing we can do about it.  This is strait from Officer Klump's mouth.

well im not a yakama so i dont know whats going on up there either. but to come on here and get heated and call out people for buying beer when they go hunting and try to stir the pot is pointless. the people on this forum know what happens in the woods and if they want changes they should take massive ammounts of pictures and flood the offices of people who might have some more pull or media power than flooding this forum with nonsense.  :twocents:

I agree with you Bone.  I to love the resource, I to have been within yards of animals and not harvested them, I to would like to see something done.  I don't have the nice cameras you have but, I still enjoy taking pics of animals that I have snuck up on and not harvested.

I'll place myself in the shoes of my Leaders and tell you guys a little story.

One day this young man walks into my office and tells me he's been hearing stories of enrolled members overharvesting deer and elk in certain areas of the Ceded Lands.  I ask him how does he know this is true?  His reply is "because these various non-tribal members are telling him that's what they heard and were told and they told me?"  I ask him if he has any actual proof that these types of events are occuring?  His answer is "no".  Until I expend any financial resources and delegate a game warden (1 of 6 we have) to investigate these situations how do I know any of it is true?  How do I know that what you're being told is a lie?  How do I know what you're telling me is a lie?  To me it sounds like rumors, rumors that originated by somebody that does not know or understand who we are.  Could any of it be true?  Maybe, maybe not, it could be somebodies attempt to make us as a Tribe look bad.  If there is nothing to substantiate what you are claiming then why should I believe you or who ever is telling you this?  I have not heard of any events and even if these types of events were taking place how do I know it wasn't you?  He tells me, "I work weekdays when most of this occurs and I don't have the time or financial resources to be in these areas all time and again, this is what i've been told by non-tribal hunters."  if you yourself hasn't seen it happen then why should I believe you if you yourself haven't seen any of it occur?  If you haven't witnessed it yourself and you're unable to provide me or any of the other members sitting here then why should we even consider the request?  Why should we believe you and what you're being told if you yourself haven't seen any of it happen?  Unless something is brought before us that shows the events that you speak of then it's hearsay and rumors, I'm not going to waste any financial resources or expend any man power based on info. that is not credible and at the very least rumors.

End of story.

Good luck with that! I hope it works out ok.  This picture of Phil's slaughter didn't help Klump one bit. He didn't even want any of the pictures I took.  Maybe you can take better pics?

By the way, I was pointing out the fact that they stopped by a quicky mart, unlike their ancestors.  You are right. You dont know whats going on up here. If you did, you would be discusted. Maybe even a little upset. ... But good luck with your picture taking.

All I can say about the picture I posted is this.....

I have family and friends that live in the Entiat area. They are well aware of what goes on up there. They seen the truck in town, so they took several cell phone pics. This was last Tuesday. Knowing I am a hunter and like to see deer, elk, etc. they sent them over too me a few days ago. Thou I am a newer member to this site, I have followed it since 2007. Knowing how the forum is; I debated on whether or not I should even post it. I figured that I could post 1 picture or 20 pictures, and what would it matter. The natives on here are going to say it is BS, photo shopped, etc. Even if I had a video, the natives would say he is not part of the Yakima tribe. Go blame the Mucks, etc. Bottom line....everyone including the natives knows what is going on up there. Deer getting slaughtered by the truck load. I could post more pics, but why? The forum will just shoot them down etc. That is why it took me 5 years to finally join this site. Everyone on here seems to know everything about everything.

Plat,
You may disagree with your tribal members actions, yet you seem to always fall back to the native position and make excuses for them. Example- I post a picture and you say...."that's not proof!" I expected you to say that! Explain to me the snow on the ground, ACE hardware store, Xmas decorations up in the background, the cross street sign, etc. What do I have to gain by posting this 1 picture? Like the game department is going to do something about it. And we all know the tribe won't. The game department and the tribe know who is doing it. They have plenty of their own pictures and documentation. This is a federal issue, which is way bigger then Wa state. So go ahead and reply with your long winded rants. Nobody cares because you ride the fence and make excuses and get dogminded!

Again, point proven. You make excuses. You don't want to spend money to investigate a potential problem. In the meantime you may be spending double the money or more to fix the problem; if it turns out true. These are all just BS excuses to turn a blind eye to what is happening. Your a fence rider. You say tell the forum what they want to hear, yet you tell the natives what they want to hear.
