I posted this on antoher site, but I wanted to get your thoughts also. Harvested yesterday and ready for the taxi...

Bigger than a "normal" teal, no white stripe on the breast. It has the blue on its bill like a wigeon, and the pinkish color on the breast area...

Regardless, its one beautiful bird.

Mature Greenwing Teal Drake. Just has good color for this time of year. Most ducks don't get their best plumage till breeding season which is late winter/early spring. Pretty bird.

Agree....speaks a lot of Pintail in there to me.  Smallish feathers on back and the black break at end of white underside is identical to that of a drake Pintail

Beautiful bird, looks like maybe a juvenile Common (Eurasian) Teal as mentioned.  Many of the Google pics show a lighter leading edge to the color wing bar but some are more brown like your.  Even though probably not a hybrid, it is still a rare and awesome bird to harvest.

Unless I'm looking at the picture wrong, the size of the bird is larger than a normal sized teal.
