Off subject, but some of the grandest most enjoyable hunting I've ever had was good old squirrel hunting with a 22 in Arkansas hardwoods. Oh how I miss it!

Rutting elk or Mulies... I can go either way.

That's pretty loaded question.  I love both, been sucessful in both but like someone else said I can go out not far from home and hunt even for a few short hours.  I love hunting mulies most because of the terrain they live in even if I don't kill one.  There are always plenty of opportunity for a blacktail and I've come to enjoy hunting them also.

I grew up in Arkansas. I miss squirrel hunting too.

Seeing as how I've never been elk hunting I'd have to say deer and prefer whitetail over mulies

Elk...until it's laying there and I realize how much work it's going to be to get it off the mountain. Then I prefer deer hunting!
Can't we all just get along?

Muley hunting, unless I get drawn for a bull.  The feeling of chasing my bugling bull around will never be beat.

I really enjoy tracking elk here in western washington but I also enjoy hunting the smart blacktail bucks.

ELK definitely for me.  But cougars the most of all.

I wish I agreed.  So far cougar hunting for me has been days of calling.  Followed by ten seconds of being terrified and blowing an opportunity.
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

There is nothing like watching a bull dip and dodge his antlers through the reprod when he's coming to your stand.

If I could get a Muley to bugle I would hunt nothing else.
