Am I normal?
« on: December 18, 2012, 11:30:22 AM »
Is it normal that I just attended my son's school Christmas program and the first thing I noticed is that their cut out of Rudolph the red nosed reign deer had a huge whitetail rack instead of a reign deer rack.  My wife routinely tells me I'm sick and that I don't know how to turn off hunt mode!  I'm starting to think she's right.

You might be a little more normal if you were staring at the large rack on the 25 year old.........in the front row, but......I'd say yes, normal

The thing I notice is that when I see a deer or elk or reindeer, I always try to find a blemish or coloration spot just behind the shoulder where I would want to hammer it. Every single time, cartoon, movie, it doesn't matter. I'm not normal and don't wish to be!

Not just the huge racks..

But I also critique the action movies and the firearm scenes...  The 1911 is empty but did not hold open.  I actually counted 32 rounds from a revolver in one scene,,, etc.....

By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.

Or how about when it is empty, does not hold open, and they can make it go "click, click, click, click" while trying to fire it......  :dunno:

The Rudolph rack is something I would have noticed too.
May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.

I do the same thing on movies.  I also critique some of the hunting shows; especially if I can tell its canned but they're trying to make it look legit!  I still watch though.

Also, be careful boneaddict, that beautiful lady your checking out in the front row sitting next to the ugly guy is my wife:-)

dang it!  again!!!  how come he gets to see the pics and not the rest of us?!?!?!?!?!?  I like looking at big racks just as much as the next guy?!?!?!?! :bash: :bash: :bash:

Yep, there's a few hunting shows I don't care to watch and they are usually hunting ranches.

Is it normal to take a scope with you when you have to go to the zoo.....to get a better look at the animals.  They just look better with crosshairs on them.

Jimmy Hoffa, LOL!  I'll bet that doesn't make you many friends at most zoos; though the first exhibit on my viewing list when I took the family to woodland park was the elk.  My 3 yr old saw the elk and immediately asked if i was gonna shoot one:). I got a couple funny looks.

The one thing I always notice is, when your driving and getting close to a dairy and the sign with a cow on it. Dairy cow with an utter and horns :dunno:
