I am pretty sure you are thinking of a Savage 24... They came in a plethora of caliber/guage combo's... I have never used one, but talked to a lot of people that have and they all loved them for hunting birds like grouse, but also for dual seasons like deer and grouse. This list is from memory, but I think this is all of them... .22LR/.410 .22LR/20 Gauge.22WMR/20 Gauge .22 Hornet/20 Gauge.223 Rem/20 Gauge.30-30/20 Gauge .357 Mag/20 Gauge.22 Hornet/12 Gauge .223 Rem/12 Gauge .30-30/12 Gauge

Still have it. It's one of the early ones with soldered barrels and the slector on the side of the receiver. They are single shot though, not a pump gun.
The crossfire is the only rifle I can think of that fits that description. They didn't get real popular, i thought it was a good concept. Had one for a while.
