I've got a T/C NW Explorer and with the right bullets and powder it shoots lights out. It is a 48 twist barrel so sabots do not shoot well in them. That is correct. I had good luck with powerbelts in mine.

I have a Knight Bighorn and LOVE IT!  Shoots amazing and very comfortable.... For a little more I would definately check out the disc extreme, I am looking at that as my next purchase unless I go nuts and go after the Knight Long Range Hunter.  All are available in the western version with the exposed breech.  Bighorn has more exposure than the other two...

Forgot to add,  get out there during muzzy season and you will love it, my opinion, better season, fewer hunters, better weather although this season was quite dry...

KNIGHT DISC EXTREME 50 CAL.  Be careful because not all Muzzle loaders will accommodate shooting sabots.  This rifle will.  It will also handle 150 grains of powder where others won't.  It comes in a model with a thumb hole stock which I really like.  It allows you to really pull the rifle into your shoulder.  This rifle is comfortable, has an awesome trigger pull and is deadly accurate.  In my opinion, this rifle is worth every penny!!!

Knight disc is at the top of my list, but it depends on how much they cost/ what it will take for me to come up with the cash.

I just bought a CVA Elkhorn mag used from another member on here.  Got a good deal.  I just got to shoot it the other day and it shoots great, 4" group at 100 yards without messing around with different loads.  Anxious to whack an big bull with it next year.

[/quot ]glad it shot well for you
