Long draw bows for 2013?
« on: December 23, 2012, 06:46:54 PM »
I've got a long draw length (32"), and am left-handed to boot.  I've been using my Limbsaver DZ-36 for three years now, but am in the market for a new bow.  I'm considering the Mathews MR7 and the Bowtech Insanity CPXL.  THe hard part (I fear) is being able to actually get a bow shop to get these in house to try before I buy?   Any other recommendations?

Try the Strother Moxie 37 ATA I have 2 of them and they are fast and accurate.

Give XXX archery a call about Bowtech and PSE, I have never been more impressed with a shop, and I just talked to him on the phone.

hoyt makes several great bows in long draw, pse has several as well.  I havent heard alot of good from the bowtech customer service. I have a 31" draw so i'm in the same boat. PSE Hammer,Vendeta are 2.  Hoyt Spyder, matrix, and Charger all come in long Draw.  I'm down to PSE Hammer, and Hoyt Spyder 34 for me.  I still need to shoot both Set up the same and Shoot Back to back to decide.  I lean Spyder 34 at 31" as of now.

The only reason I'm starting to lean away from the Spyder 34 long draw is that it only comes in draw lengths of 32 and 31.5", so it doesn't really give me much room to adjust/play with.   :dunno:  I liked the Mathews MR7, but then started to hear that it was a little tweaky and hard to tune.
