Points putting in as team
« on: December 23, 2012, 07:03:19 PM »
I know they average points but here's my question (might have already answered myself, but let me think out loud).
2 of us added up is 5 points (me 3, him 2) devide by 2 is 2.5, mathematically 2.5 rounded up is 3.  So we go in as 3
Elk multi season so the difference of 2 or 3 points could decide whether we put in together or not.

My guess is that it would be rounded down, not up, but I'm not sure.  :dunno:

Thanks for the input. I guess I was skeptical that they would round it up.

In some regards you'd have a better chance (2 vs 3 points) but you will also be mathematically eliminated earlier (the last tag you wont' have a chance at). With only 2 guys that's not too big of a deal so overall you're probably better off going in as a group with th extra point.

If 2 and 3 points are what you have now, you will each have one more in the next drawing.

Assuming that you will have 2 and 3 points, a team application would have 9 names in the hat: 3 squared. If you apply individually one would have 4 names in the hat and one would have 9 for a total of 13 chances that at least one would draw.
