find some timberland (public or private) look for open spots in reprod on south facing slopes.it also pays to know the elevation where you are and snow level when the sheds are dropping.obviously elk or deer wont be dropping antlers where there is 6 feet of snow.if i was you i would go east.i have a million crazy shed theories,  but i also find a lot of sheds.
you cant eat the horns, but backstraps look like crap on my wall!!!!

A great place to find sheds if you have a weekend to kill and dont mind hiking is around Mt. St. Helens. It tends to get hit really hard in the early season but most people will not bother with the outlying areas that are a little harder to get to. Get a good map and follow the south fork of the toutle river and then cross over to the north fork and follow it upstream. mark your g.p.s. and head up river.
