HAD A GOOD YEAR
«

Well long story short of things i had one of my best hunting seasons in my 13 years of hunting. It first started with open day of bear season. Took my brother out opening day and seen 3 bears in one cut and he shot the bigger of the 3 it was 125lbs was his first black bear. 2 days later on that opening Saturday we went back into the same clear cut he got his in and we waited in the cut for an hour after daylight and seen a coyote so i desided to shoot the coyote, after shooting the coyote about five minutes later out walks this 200+lb boar black bear 1 shot at 225 yards with my 7mm and he was down. Next was muzzy elk i got drawn for a cow tag went out opening day and seen a couple but no shot. Day 2 i went out with my brother who knows the area really well and 10 minutes after daylight he spots a cow 120 yards in the timber off the main logging road i tried sneeking closer only for the cow to spook. But when i stepped of the road into the timber i noticed a cow that was looking away from me that didnt know i was there. She then turned around and now is looking at me at 80 yards i rested on a tree and let the smoke fly. After the smoke cleared i quickly reloaded and seen no elk my brother meets up with me and started stalking we get to where the cow was standing and no elk my brother looks 40 yards up the ridge and says, "There she is!! Shes hurt shoot again!!!" After a quick follow up shot down she went my first muzzleloader elk!!! Next rifle deer season hunted hard all season and bunch of does but no bucks. Desided the last saturday of early season i would take my 2 year old son with me so we we're driving down the logging road just after daylight rounded the corner and looked down in the clearcut and there was a nice two point. Perfect deer for a first father son hunt got out of the truck and took the shot i missed....Dont know how but i did...Quickly reloaded and shot again and down he went. My son soon after the second shot says to me, "Dada boom deer" and i said yes son dada got a deer. That hunt with my son was and will be the most memorable hunt i have ever had in my 13 years no big buck or bull elk will top that and hopefully there will be many more with him and his 4 month old little sister and my wife.
