I had a friend tell me tonight they saw wolves in the Toutle unit during elk season.

We had two guys on our crew see them there four years ago on the 5500.

I saw sign when I hunted the Mosquito Meadows area years ago. It's possible the pack could've expanded/moved. I heard they were putting some in the Loowit & coast range too.

If WDFW wants to kill all of the game, just make the hunting season 12 months long.

WDFW says they are dog/wolf hybrids from what I understand, shoot 'em all.

I think they are planting them. Kinda funny how the wolves are being seen in GMUs, which host plenty of deer and elk.

I got an email from Rep. Ed Orcutt, who serves on the Natural Resources committee. He's helped me on several projects. According to him, WDFW has not dropped any wolves in the area.

I guess they're unclassified wildlife. Shoot on sight.

Two good fiends who have been in the woods all their lives saw a black wolf in the upper Fossil area 2 years ago while picking huckleberrys. On the S Toutle side of the divide.  They are both lifetime woodsmen and know their s***.  I have no doubt about their sighting.

I saw some tracks in the winston on Tuesday that were way bigger than any coyote. We put a 30-06 shell in the track, it fit inside of it easily. :yike:

Maybe excess off spring from Wolf Haven in Tacoma.  Their are wolfs in the area, whether they want to let the public know or not.  We ran into them two years ago in the mudflow.
Cut em!

They'll have plenty of elk to eat with half the population with hoof rot.  Maybe they think that is the cure too weed out the lame.

I like to see a few loggers post their sightings.
They are on these roads all year round and should see the wolves, if any.
