You've known this was coming for five years. Why did you ignore it and find yourself so frustrated now?

I have a local gun dealer that did not jump on the price gouging bandwagon.I respect that and will deal exclusively with them.I have no respect for, nor will I buy from anyone on a forum or a dealer that takes advantage of the situation and screws people.Especially on a forum that is supposed to be a community taking care of each other.

It is an investment risk to store up inventory. it is bad accounting and business practice. Doing so exposes one to risk. Anytime one takes a risk they should have a reward commensurate with that risk. People who waited took the risk that they would be around forever. They chose X asset or vacation in its place and now they have to compete with everyone else who did the same. $500 AKs and $800 ARs are gone and wont be back for a long time, if ever.
Most people aren't going to buy at those prices if there are alternatives. They will sit on their $4000 AR while others sell them for $1,800. Then they will lower their price. Supply and demand work these things out. Gun merchants get enough heat from the antis. I don't want to heap any more hate on 'em unnecessarily.
now there almost all gone and you want to get bargin prices.nobody to blame but yourself. there going to get as much as someone will pay and there selling them fast
FYI, Adventure Sports in Lynnwood has boxes and boxes of 223 ammo on floor in front of gun counter.ET
Just got back from local Hardware store and shelves are loaded with 223. $8.75 per box for PMJ? and 22.75 for hornady Superformance
Another shipment of 80,000.
Looks as if the current administration has backed off their "Gung-Ho" gun attack. We will see what 2013 has to bring but it is no longer the quick push. They lost their momentum and didn't realize the amount of opposition that came their way. It will be interesting to see how this plays out, besides. They are all busy packing their chutes for the jump off the Fiscal Cliff. Wahooooo! Jump baby! It's the only way to stop the WRECKLESS spending.

It amazes me that they didn't have it already written up ready to go before and "event". I guess they have to have time to add all of their pork!I think the plan is to blame the "cliff" on the republicans and try to win the mid-terms, then run roughshod.
President said today he needed to act while he had enough in line with public opinion. But DC can't agree on anything, so it would probably be a while.

I think after these two issues they're going to be so worn out and I hope that will be enough for the House GOP to not cave on this issue. `
