Bow for the wife

My wife is a breast cancer survivor and looking to get into shooting a bow and eventually hunting with it. I shoot a mathews and love it so naturally i start looking there and it looks like the Mission could be a nice set up but i want some diffrent opinions. Do to surgeries my wife right now is only able to pull back 30lbs i know this should change quickly so i would like a set up that adjustable 30 to 60. any thoughts?? i think i would like to stay around $300

My wife shoots a Mission Menace. It adjusts from 19-50# and 17-30" progressive. She loves it. She is shooting 37# at 27".

Look at the Diamond Razors Edge. I got my wife one for her first bow a few years ago. It is adjustable for about any draw length and is a 30-60 lb. bow. And I think a full starter set-up sets you back about $329. So it's an inexpensive jumping off point till she knows if she is going to like it. I asked my wife if she wanted to look at upgrading this year and she said no. She's perfectly happy with it. And she dropped deer on the ground with it so it does the job. I will say that the rest and sight that come on the package leave a little to be desired so we did upgrade those for her. Hope that helps

This bow is $299 at Cabelas right now, I think.  There is another similar thread to this on right now as well.

I shoot the mission craze and I love it! Its a light weight bow and has a weight range of 50-70lbs I believe. Its a smaller bow but it shoots great and should be in your price range :-)

There's a set up Mission UX2 for sale in the classifieds for 250. Draw weight runs from 30-70 and draw from 22-30. Not sure if the draw weight is progressive like the menace and razors edge or if the limbs are weight specific.

That was supposed to be a weight range of 15-70 lbs. Whatever feels right to her is what she should use though. So many people to get the diamond bow mentioned above but the craze was more comfortable to shoot.

Another vote for the Diamond Razor's Edge package. My wife started with this bow. Great starter bow.

my wife has a diamond razor edge and she has a bad shoulder and elbow and likes hers and as she gets stronger she can turn up the poundage till she can hunt.

I worked at sportco last year, that's how I got my bow  hope she finds one she really likes!

i think the new bow from diamond is the infinite edge  5-70#draw weight  and 13-30 draw length.  a bow that can be adjusted for nearly anyone  $350-399 loaded.  this is the bow i will be looking at for the woman, and growing kids.
