hunting waders or fishing waders?

i haven't had the best luck with cabelas' breathables, but i think they just about make the best neoprenes on the market.  every breathable pair of fishing waders i've bought there has developed mystery leaks after a year or two(the kind you can't seem to find with soapy water).

i've currently got a pair of redingtons that are close to 3 years old now, and show no signs of wearing out yet.

Another Cabelas DryPlus fan here, bought my first pair almost as soon as they came out, the seem in the crouch wore from  hiking in them patched them with barge cement and cloth on the inside kept right on working.  About six years ago replaced them, bought a pair of waist highs a couple years later.  Both pair are still going strong, you could never get me back into a pair of Neo's.  Mine are the insulated boot foots camo ones.  Hunting in breathables is like wearing a nice pair of dress slacks, light, easy to move in and a snap to get in and out of.  I hike to where I'm hunting in them, wear them in the truck on the way to and from, even wear them in the store shopping if I have to stop on the way back from a hunt .

Both, mostly fishing, something light and cool enough to fish in during the warm months. Something tuff enough to hike in and is brior proof

Lightweight, briar proof and waterproof?    Never heard of a pair like that!

Briars will even do in neo's.

  Another for Cabelas dry plus    I wear them beaver trapping so they definitely see abuse.  The rubber in the boot will be the first thing to go.  Easy enough to patch any hole with glue.  Not brier proof, but damn tough for as light weight as they are.  Feet have never got cold in them.

The ones costco has are great and they are 80 bucks I believe.  Very tough and high quality.

Cabela's Dry Plus. They are so great for warm weather, hiking to a blind or in the cold with proper layering of fleece inside. Since they are Cabela's brand, they are good about replacement if there is a problem.

...unless you've had them for a couple months, that's longer than their "lifetime" when it comes to warranty.  too bad they did away with the old policy, you could trade them in when they inevitably started leaking.  now i just buy other brands without the cabelas' premium price.

I've had mine for several years, no leaks, tough and light weight, wear them hiking into duck blind, etc., etc.  Cabelas Dri Plus are still best I've owned, and I've been thru a lot of other brands and styles in 38 years of hunting experience.
