Really nice!  Need to hit west side one of these years. Spoiled on whites now! How is the meat? Never had black tail n stopped hunting mules.

Blacktail eat great!  Then again I haven't ever had a bad eating deer or elk they all eat great by me.  IMHO the quality that hits your dinner table is all about proper care and handling.  I always carry six big quarter bags and almost always skin, quarter and or debone right where I shot it and get hung and cooling ASAP.
