That biggest buck should be a brute in the next couple years, keep those apples going and you should find those antlers laying around any day now. Nice job

Nice buck, great setup, writeup and I love the trailcam pics as well as the success photos.  All around awesome post.  Good job.

I feel very fortunate and grateful to have taken this nice buck on December 22nd.  This was the first year I have made time to attempt any big game hunt in fifteen years and I am elated with the result.  I am already eager to scout and start over again next fall!

Great job my friend been over 15 years since I got 1  so your up on me  :chuckle:

Congratulations for making good decisions and getting a great shot opportunity! You can be proud of your accomplishments.
I'd just like to remind everybody that it's about the hunting, not just the killing. In other words, it's about the total experience, the sport itself and the challenge involved. Bowhunting, done right, is a justifiable and honorable pursuit. Done for the wrong reasons, simply chalking up kills and seeking personal glory, it's taking away rather than giving back to a principled way of life that has to be experienced to be understood. Blacktail eat great!  Then again I haven't ever had a bad eating deer or elk they all eat great by me.  IMHO the quality that hits your dinner table is all about proper care and handling.  I always carry six big quarter bags and almost always skin, quarter and or debone right where I shot it and get hung and cooling ASAP.

Bon Appetit!
