somebody filled his deer tag.
« on: December 28, 2012, 10:46:06 AM »
Snuck away from work yesterday to hunt the afternoon with my old man and stumbled across a nice doe.  Ranged her and yards took the shot 63 right behind the shoulder  :IBCOOL:.  She ran about 40 and fell over.

To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

Looks like some good table fare there. Good for you!  BTW that is a mighty fancy bow you have there, may I ask what kind that is?

cool
"When my bow falls, so shall the world. When me heart ceases to pump blood to my body, it will all come crashing down. As a hunter, we are bound by duty, nay, bound by our very soul to this world. When a hunter dies we feel it, we sense it, and the world trembles with sorrow. When I die, so shall the world, from the shock of loosing such a great part of ones soul." Ezekiel, Okeanos Hunter
