Take a good look at the Leupold VX-6.  I'd go VX-6 3x18x50.

huskima 3x12  :tup:http://www.longrangestore.com/Huskemaw_Blue_Diamond_Series_3_12x42_LR_Rifle_Scop_p/100200.htm

I know a guy who topped his 300rum with a Huskemaw.  He's pretty happy with it.
I just talked to another buddy of mine who bought himself the Leupy LRT for Christmas.  Hasn't put it on yet, but he's pretty excited.  He works with a guy that contracts out teaching tactical shooting classes and I think he got it at a deep discount, so I am not sure what he paid for it.

I've got the 6-24x50 Vortex Viper PST moa ffp on my RBros 7mag and so far it tracks perfect and the glass is pretty dang good.

The only problem is I don't know if they currently offer cartridge specific turrets.  I don't want to hijack the thread but why not go to a MOA or MIL dial?

 :yeah:

Jason is right on the money here!  Vortex would be my recommmendation as well.

The MOA/mil is sound advice. It doesn't take long to use, is adaptable to any gun, is accurate at all weather and elevations and easier to sell if you are not happy.

Well u guys had some awsome advice on scopes I ended up buying  a leupold vx-3 4.5-14x50 I mounted it last night and got it all sighted in today I even found a load shooting a 3/4 " group already but we will see if I can do it again tuesday lol dose anyone know what model of 700 this is the girlfreind got it from my buddy. I've been eye balling it for a long time. I can't find any info on this model its a remington model 700 in 300 rem ultra mag with a bowl barrel and a overmolded lamenated stock. I was told it was a limited edition sendro from the gunsmith buddy that the gf  bought it from but idk. It is a very smooth and nice shooting gun lots of props for the girlfreind for this one hahaha

Do yourself a favor and learn to think in MOA and go with an M1 elevation knob instead of a CDS.

I would do a bit of reading, a mildot with mil or moa turrets is super handy on a hunting rig. It allows ranging, hold overs and windage corrections.

I'm looking into the Vortex PST 4-16 Front Focal Plane scope with the EBR-1 MOA reticle. Everything I have read about it shows excellent reviews.
Checkin' wind and makin' smoke.

You can send that scope to Leupold and have them install the turret.  Make yourself a drop chart then making extended range hits is just a turn of the dial once you are practiced up.

Moa is fairly easy to understand. I am also on the bandwagon of using moa turrets instead of custom calibrated... I do have a custom calibrated one on my 7mm but will only use that to about 600 yards and I can estimate corrections based on environmental conditions.
Once you learn moa I am confident you will see the advantages.as.well.
I just.ordered a vortex viper PST ffp 6-24x50 moa for my 300 rum!
