Going to the coast, SOMEWHERE??
« on: September 15, 2008, 01:37:52 PM »
Well me and a buddy are leaving thursday evening for last few days of the early hunt. Just looking for some spots to go, we've never been over there.  My cousin has been there for 10 days already, but I cant seem to get a hold of him and his partner, nor do I know where there secret spot is. This is a last minute plan (this morning) so all the more help the better.  I do know one thing, when I talked to my cousin last, a couple of days ago the elk were not responding to any calling, if anything they're running from it. .....(repost)....I really didnt expect to many responses on places to hunt, but I figured I would try. I will keep ya'll posted.

Not gonna make it this time.  My partner got extra days off and is heading back to Wyoming to try and fill his big bull tag that he drew. So Im gonna stay home and chase Coho and bear.

Go to Johnson Creek Wildlife Area near Westport. I was there during the second week of bear season and saw plenty of elk.
