AR Inflation

I was checking the Rock River Arms website and noticed they jacked their prices up. The law of supply and demand is in full force. I haven't checked any of the other sites to see if they are taking advantage of this opportunity. I'm glad I got all my orders in back in November.

There up about 25-50% on gunbroker and selling like crazy.

I bought a JP silent spring for an AR-10 I'm building. I ordered it last week from midway $118 I checked last night and now the price is $132. All I know is if these companies that make there own part's and there milling machines are not running 24/7 don't complain if you get put out of business and have hundred's or thousands of order's left to fill.

well, im thinking of the supply and demand thing this way.  if nothing comes of this whole mess as far as more restrictive laws... and our access to ars and such is not jeopardized in the future..... there will be tons of people who bought them in a panic, and at some point when the fear of losing the right to buy them wears off, there will probably be a lot of people wanting to sell basically unused guns, and if the market is flooded with people trying to all sell the same gun, should be able to get good deals right?  supply and demand.  im going to be optimistic and hold out for this.

Exactly Deaner! When it comes to certain firearms I have been in buy mode and sell mode hasn't even crossed my mind. My brother and I discussed it and we are thinking the exact same thing. Four years ago we had a similar circus of guys scrambling to purchased what they should have already had. I watched them Paying almost double the going rate for AR's back then and most of it locally was on credit cards. We sat back and waited 6 months or so and scored some great deals on the flood of AR's that were being sold or traded back to the local gun shops and we were picking them up bellow retail. Gotta love Capitalism , it's all about the timing.

Anyone have a SOCOM II they would like to sell? 😊

This could just account for increased production costs. Its a big risk and lots of costs, for any industry, to buy new land, build a new plant, hire new workers, etc etc. The other option to meet demand is increase output on current production lines. That means paying current workers overtime, or hiring night or weekend shifts with premium pay, etc. When you overwork your current production lines, there are more repair costs because more stuff will break down. 10% increase in MSRP is very understandable.

I have a complete Rock River 458 SOCOM upper, Hornady dies, bullets, 60 rounds 300 grn Corbon Hunter loaded ammo, 100 never loaded Starline brass. Never been shot. $2,000 cash firm, no trades.

Factor in some production has slowed and some has even stopped as some manufacturers have been waiting to see what will happen with this recent scare...most all have started up again so things should plateau out soon.
