Springfield XDS
« on: January 03, 2013, 06:50:10 PM »
I've been eyeing these for a while but havent found one near me at a shop or range to rent. Kesslerings carries these so I may head up there. Anyways I wanted to see if anyone has experience with these. I like the size for conceal carry. Only draw back is how many rounds it holds. How do you like it?

Love it. Get an extended mag and that bumps you up to eight rounds. Still very easy to conceal. Very accurate gun for the size.

I just got one on Monday. So far so good! Love the size and feels good to shoot.
I also ordered the extended mag as it seems a little short for my grip, but have not received it yet.
The paddle holster that comes with it seems decent too. I also ordered a IWB from Whitehat but haven't received that yet either!
I'll post more as I get these items!

Sweet. Thanks for the info. Looks like I may get a new toy  :IBCOOL:. I saw the extended mags and will probably go that route. Kesslerings got them for $550.00. Now debating if I should sell my micro compact 1911 or keep it. Ahhh who am I kidding I'll keep it.

The xds is awesome I am thinking I might have to buy it for a birthday present to myself..   Some people seem to get it confused with the regular xd but I really like the new slim design and did not know there was an extended mag that makes it even better.  Looks like I may need two xd .45's with my current one.

Thats what I like about it. The slim design even though I havent had it in my hands yet.

I did read somewhere that the loaded chamber indicator gets in the way of the front sight. Anyone have feedback on that?

Hasn't been a problem for me.

The xds only comes in a 45 right now and the othe calibers should come out in the coming months.  I just got it today and fired a couple boxes through it and love it so far.  I do agree with the need for the extended mag though.  I will be picking one up next week.  It is a awesome pistol and I will be carrying it everyday..

If you are looking for an XDS, Will at Liberty Firearms I think has one left for $560 out the door, including tax.  Will is a great guy and is not into the whole gouging thing that is going on right now.  Located in Lake Stevens.
