I would look into this too.  But mostly would hope that there is a record of you contacting various agencies for assistance.

1) A person is guilty of obstructing the taking of fish[, shellfish,] or wildlife if the person:

     (a) Harasses, drives, or disturbs fish, shellfish, or wildlife with the intent of disrupting lawful pursuit or taking thereof; or

     (b) Harasses, intimidates, or interferes with an individual engaged in the lawful taking of fish, shellfish, or wildlife or lawful predator control with the intent of disrupting lawful pursuit or taking thereof.

     (2) Obstructing the taking of fish, shellfish, or wildlife is a gross misdemeanor.

     (3) It is an affirmative defense to a prosecution for obstructing the taking of fish, shellfish, or wildlife that the person charged was:

     (a) Interfering with a person engaged in hunting outside the legally established hunting season; or

     (b) Preventing or attempting to prevent unauthorized trespass on private property.

     (4) The person raising a defense under subsection (3) of this section has the burden of proof by a preponderance of the evidence.

PETA Encouraging People to Violate Hunter Harassment Laws

There was no denying that PETA opposes hunting. Now the animal rights group also is on record urging people to violate laws-make that hunter harassment laws.

In an October 9, 2012 blog posting, PETA urges its minions to: "Help counter the cruelty of hunting in your area: Post "No Hunting" signs on your land and that of sympathetic neighbors and friends, join or form a local anti-hunting group, protest organized hunts, and spread deer repellent or human hair (from barber shops) near hunting areas. Also, before supporting any wildlife or conservation group, make sure that it opposes hunting."

Fortunately for hunters, these tactics constitute hunter harassment, a practice that is illegal in all fifty states and also on federal land. The U.S. Sportsmen's Alliance (USSA) championed the enactment of these laws during the 1980's and 1990's in response to a campaign entitled "Hints for Hunt Saboteurs" by the anti-hunting organization, Friends of Animals. The Sportsmen's Alliance also helped defend state hunter harassment laws in both Iowa and New Jersey courts when challenged by the anti-hunting lobby. The result has been protection for American sportsmen and women from the exact sort of thing being promoted by PETA.

"It may be hunter harassment in itself for PETA to be encouraging others to break the law," observed USSA president and CEO, Bud Pidgeon. "If indeed there are foolish people out there who follow the PETA directive to harass hunters, I would not be surprised to see the authors of this article charged as well as the perpetrators."

Hunters encountering protestors, deer repellents broadcast or other items placed in their hunting areas to keep deer away should immediately contact their local Conservation Officer (game warden) or local sheriff's department and report the violation. When possible, take photographs of protestors, their vehicles, and their activities.

If you are seriously concerned :

Print out the threat before he removes it

Go down in person, not contact by phone, to your nearest PD. Bring a printed out copy of the threat, his profile  and tell them that you think you have the guy's ID.  Make sure you tell them you are in fear for your life and in light of the recent shootings by mentally deranged people,  you demand a report be taken for your safety. If they refuse ask to see one of the SGT's at the PD. Be persistent

Get a copy of the report and send to his employer :

Send copy of his threat, his profile  and police report certified mail and notify them that they have an unstable violent employee who has a firearm and is threatening you and that he appears to want to take a "fully loaded"  handgun from DC across the US  crossing state lines to the state of Washington and shoot you. I wonder if his fully loaded firearm is registered per DC firearms laws?

And I  would contact the Fed Protective Service responsible for security at Fed buildings where this mentally unstable nut job works. Let them know he has a fully loaded firearm and is threatening to use it.
Tell them you filed a police report, id'd the guy from his web profile and tell them you are in fear for your life. Tell them you can provide a copy of the police report. Ask for the name of the person taking the report and demand a follow up call when they interview this guy

Just a suggestion

Got a call back from the local police officer.  He said it didn't constitute a felony threat and there really wasn't a lot he could do about it.  I asked him about calling the FBI and he said I could but they probably wouldn't do much about it either.  I called the FBI but the Duty Officer did not answer so I left a message.  Like I said earlier, I also submitted an online FBI request but haven't heard anything from that either. 

From here I'm not really sure where else I can go.  If I don't hear back from FBI at all, I may take the route of at least calling his HR Department, see if I can at least help him lose his job... 

Any other advice from you guys?
