Make sure you keep every piece of evidence you can.  Take the cops names and badge numbers when you talk to them and keep track.  Make sure your documentation is very detailed with date, time, how you contacted them, etc.  Write down details of each conversation.  Let everyone know up front that you are keeping this information and if anything comes of this.....and they did not follow through with there jobs that they are now just as liable. 

This is absurd....

After all this takes place you may also want to e-mail this guy (make a new e-mail account) and just see if it was really him.  In this process  you can mention that you have contacted all law enforcement  agencies and make sure he thinks they will be investigating it.  Be detailed and post the names of the agencies and who you talked to (adds credibility).  Tell him that this threat is being taken very seriously and that he "may have committed an act of domestic terrorism."  make sure you use the terminology "may have committed."  This keeps from pointing fingers.  If nothing else comes of it he will live in fear for a few years that he is being investigated for a felony.

After / or if he responds then make the decision to send it to his employers (same e-mail).  Let the know who they have working for them.  I guarantee this will lead to some type of internal investigation....which will make him crap his pants thinking he is going to loose his job.  If all goes well he will be flipping burgers soon. 

Though I don't believe you really have anything to worry about.   I will say that this kind of stuff needs to stop.  I would make an example of him for sure.

This other guy is asking where is MT.Baker and where are THE BEST ACCESS PLACES  ...People should never answer questions like this over the internet ...that goes for everyone unless you have personally met the person or know them ..This is something to seriously think about even on HW . We all talk to each other like we know each other but most of us have no clue who is who !!!

Wow that was something. Shane keep your chin up I loved your video. As a matter of fact it got me to sign in an account and subscribe to your videos. The tool is probably blowing smoke, just hike with one in the chamber and your finger on the safety. Its a shame you can't get any response from the government, but that doesn't surprise me.


Sorry for my but you're getting it anyway.

I had a client come into my  garage when I was gone and take an unfinished deer mount off the wall.
I got home, was told what he did and immediately called him. I told him I would be right up after work to get it back. We argued about how long it was taking to get done. A few minuets later I got a call from the local Sherifs dept. saying they had me on felony harassment. I don't know how they don't have this guy in jail.

And they wonder why gun sales are through the roof

However, you are ignoring the fact that while this threat is made specifically to Shane... it would appear this guy is a threat to any hunter that may cross his path... of course he is probably just an internet tough guy.. but it is still something that should be addressed and not near the joke or embarrassment you say it is... It only takes a simple logical deduction to realize that this threat is geared towards people hunting animals in general. That being the case this guys should definitely receive a visit from law enforcement and lose his government job.
