If you had to pick......and you only had these choices...which one do you pick  1:7 or 1:9 twist.

16" barrel, mostly plinking shtf scenario......I already have a coyote gun, but may want to use it as that on occasion.   I can't see myself shooting less than a 55 grain bullet.  I will not be shooting my 70 to 75 grain bullets that I use out of my varmit ar 1:8 twist.

1:7 would be my pick as well of the 2. I really like a 1:8 it seems like I have had really good luck with that twist rate.

OK....Upper is done just waiting for its arrival, hopefully in the next 7-10 days.  Now I need help with sight options.  I ended up with a 16 inch barrel and rifle length quad rail.  I kinda like the looks of a detatchable carry handle with dual apature, but am not set on it.  I need both a front and rear.  I don't plan on scoping this firearm.

What are some good manufacturers?
What is functional and durrable?
What do you reccomend.

Accessory questions now....

1.  What is a good grip.  I really like the ERGO grip's feel and profile.  Give me your opinion with pros and cons.  This is going on a M4 model rifle.  What other grips are out there that you all like.

2.  What bi pod is good.  I would like to ability to shoot prone as well as sitting if possible.  I have used Harris in the past and like them, is there a better bi pod for the AR platform.  It will be mounted on the picatinny rail system.

3.  Butt stock....What is a good one.  I am currently looking at the Magpul ACS and CTR...pros and cons based on experience.  Any other I should check out before I buy?

4.  Any other accessories (not sighting related) that is a must have.

The thing shoots lights out and and I have learned a ton from building it.  Now I am hooked!!   :IBCOOL:

1: ergo all the way use them every time on all the rifles I have done.

2: Harris all the way for a bi pod.

3: I do not care for the acs and ctr. They are a little to sloppy for me as I cant stand play in my stocks and slop between the upper and lower. If you can buy one the UBR is a amazing stock if you want adjustable.

4: if you are getting a quad rail upper you will want some type of rail covers as they can be hard on the hands.

Yeah, I will definitely need some rail covers.  I plan on going with dark earth or desert sand to break up the color.  I attached a pic so people could see the finished product.  Both built the same except for the rear sights...a project me and my brother in law got to enjoy together.
