Hellfire Shake down
« on: January 09, 2013, 07:08:47 PM »
Hey guys,

Got my brand new Hellfire and my homemade external speaker set up ready to go...

Does anyone want to list their preferances for presets and foxbang. maybe a good starter sequence for the first stand of the day?

I was thinking Distressed rabbit is always good then do a few other critters then last resort yote howlin but im not sure.

Thanks

So many new models of e-callers coming out, I had to look in a magazine to see what that one was.  I bought a Scorpion a couple of years ago for the packability, and it has the same remote, by the looks of it.  I put a Pup Distress (KiYi) on the Foxbang, and usually start out with the Coyote Group Yip/howl call, then switch to Chicken Distress, Kitten Cries, or Lucky Bird for a prey call.  Don't remember if I even used any Presets.  Never use them anyway.  The only thing I need to do is set the Foxbang on the least sensitive setting.  The manual said to go with the Medium setting, so it woldn't get set off by accidental bumps, bu even that is too sensitive.
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

For your foxbang go to the fox pro site and download their free Coyote KiYi sound

:yeah:  If you know how--I don't, and my luck with high-tech stuff is not good.  I even gave up trying to figure out my buddy's TiVo while I was house-sitting his place.  If it doesn't have a dipstick or a knob to wind it, I don't understand it.  I ordered my Scorpion with the 50 calls I picked, and that will just have to do.  Fortunately, I picked a couple of Pup Distress sounds, and one of them is a good Foxbang call.  :chuckle:

It might.  Scroll thru your call list on your remote.  It might not be called "KiYi".   "Pup Distress" or "Coyote Distress" is usually some form of KiYi call.  You can always turn on your caller to see what the calls sound like.  Put your dog outside first, though...  :chuckle:
