« on: January 09, 2013, 07:18:02 PM »
i painted a stock with krylon and rustolium and it turned out really good but i let it set up for a week and when i took the tape off i noticed where the edge of the tape and the paint met, the paint is chipping. has anyone else experienced this? how can i prevent this form happening?

Tape needs to come off right after painting in most cases otherwise chipping peeling and pull off can happen.....I've had this same thing happen with watercolor paintings acrylic paintings, trim on windows.....use tape paint and pull it :)

ahh that explains it, i painted it with a green texture  and clear coat like a week and a half ago and let it sit why i waited for the web paint i ordered to show up. sprayed the web this morning and took the tape off tonight. next time i will paint and strip the tape while its still a little wet or tacky. thanks Run!
