I'd hate to know how much I will have spent on points that never got used when I die.  Even worse I'd hate for my wife to know.

If any wife new the honest truth about how much it costs us to hunt (license, gas, gear, etc), hunting would be a single mans activity  :chuckle:

Oh, they know. They just keep that information stored away for the day when you find out how much they spent on shoes, makup, and frappuchinos. In any relationship with a woman you have a right to have this information held against you at a later date :chuckle:

Isn't that the same as the old story about how the wife spends $$$$ making herself look pretty with cosmetics and the hubby does the same thing with beer?

How do find how many points you have?

Go to this link on WDFW site: Check Special Permit Drawing Results

https://fishhunt.dfw.wa.gov/wa/specialhuntlookup

This will show the 2012 results (if you applied for any special permits last season any way, if you didn't apply last year though, it should show prior years results depending on how long ago since you last applied), then just add 1 point to each catagory for this years application.

In my case, mine shows results & point totals back to 2009.

Hope this helps.

This will show the 2012 results (if you applied for any special permits last season any way, not sure if it will work if you didn't apply last year though), then just add 1 point to each catagory for this years application.
You will only see points listed for species that you applied for. You can reference previous years as well.  Years prior to 2007 will show zero points. If you have never applied for a specie for which you have points accumulated, or have not applied since 2007 there is no way to find out your balance other than calling WDFW.

True, figured it would help give him a rough idea of what he had, without knowing his application history.   Would be nice if they added someting on their website we could reference for that purpose without having to actually call them.
