I have a Kahr CM40 that I carry in a IWB holster.  Very comfortable and concealable.  I wouldn't hesitate to get another one in either a 9mm or a 45.   I chose .40 because I had about 400 rounds of 40 ammo sitting on the shelf.

Did you have a break in period before it was reliable for ccw or was it reliable right out of the box? Just wondering because I have heard that some of the PM9's need a good break in.

Go shoot some. When I was looking for my sc 9 my list was g26 m&p then the  xd i that order. I shot all of them and from comfort and shootability my list went to xd m&p g26. I wouldn't have bought the cd if I hadn't shot them but I truly love that gun and trust my life to it.

Kahr claims to need 200 rounds for break-in.  My dad got one the day after the school shooting.  I think the trigger pull is a little heavy on it, but they say it just takes getting used to.

I bought a CW45 and like it, light, small, and accurate. I don't know how the subcompacts rate though.

Yeah...people seem to love their trigger or hate them

My wife and I both carry the M&P 9mm Shield and we love them. If you want more capacity and don't mind a little thicker gun then I second the G26. If you want a smaller gun then I would could go with the Kahr PM9 or Kahr CM9.

You should sell me one of those   :tung:  I can't find one anywhere :bash:

:chuckle: I hear they are hard to find. We are looking at PM9's right now. If we decide to pick one up I may sell one of the M&P's

If you ever do want to sell one of the Shields let me know and I will buy it, as long as I haven't found one already (bye the way your inbox is full)

I know I tried to send him a message too. I would also like to buy the shield.  :chuckle:

I had some fail to feeds in the first 100 rounds.  The slide wouldn't seat all the way, about 1/8th to 1/16th off.  The next 100 rounds were flawless, and I put 100 more through it just to make sure.  They are machined VERY tight, the first time I took it apart I had a really hard time getting it back together.

I think a 200 round break in is pretty standard with any Kahr.
