We have to be nice and polite kids... remember?
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

I am guessing if it happened, those people would start wrapping their meat.

With foil before cooking.

I soak, Big Chief smoker with a pan, but I do it because it says to... never really considered not soaking.  Now I gotta try that.  Oh wait, that means I need something to smoke.  S'cuse me, I gotta go check the fridge/freezer/backyard.

backyard?  :o lookin for the neighbors cat? a squirrel?  :chuckle:
