He's a beautiful bull and has some really impressive features.... mass, points, paddles, etc.  However, he will be limited in scoring due to his fronts.  It appears there's no palmation so it will hurt his overall score.

So it depends on how important official score is to you.  Would be tough to pass up on a OLT.

good looking bull but just lose to much with weak fronts looks like good width on the plams but there short good spread got to be close to 45ish 10+inch plams 22 ish length on palms look like a 7 by 8 7 inch bases give him a score of 142 would be in the 160's if the fronts where forked. NOT a shooter in my book might be wrong just my :twocents:

PErsonally I don't like how he lays out, but truth is that spread is over 58" which more than would make up for the brows not being split.  In this state he should be a shooter.

I'll post now before I read the posts. I would not shoot now, I'd mark the spot with my GPS and come back on him later. He has good width and good palms and the single fronts wont let him score high. Hard to pass but I would. :(

I knew he was in the 50's, look at his ears, 30" between and it looks at least 12" on each side, good palm width and points but no fronts :dunno:. I'd like to see the final score before I'd say he was a shooter in this State. I've got a lot of friends over there who are saying 60" bulls are around.

I was going to say he looks very wide.... was guessing 48-50.  No idea he was that wide.  That's exceptional!  Still, depending on the angles the fronts will give you 10 - 18 inches on the gross.... meaning he's equivalant to low to mid 40s with great fronts.  Was he ever scored?

All that said, knowing the width... I would shoot em in heartbeat.  To some degree, screw the official score, he's friggin awesome.

I'm with PB on this one, mark him with an "X" on the GPS and move on, you cant get the big ones if you shoot the "little" ones :chuckle:

Hey PB you getten excited yet? I am off to Montana Saturday for archery elk and will be back on the 28th worse case, then heading over to 49DN on the 30th. When are you heading over, are you waiting until Nov?

Never mind the when question, just saw that on another post :bash:

Nice Bull, I would have taken him or any bull I saw first. I am not a Trophy Hunter myself. As far as OIL tags go, I figure after getting any Bull out and back home I am not going to want to do it again anyway... :chuckle:

58"?  From Washington?  Wow that is incredible.  I wouldn't have guessed him that wide.  Great Bull.  Not gonna find very many that are 58" regardless of the fronts.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.
