I highly recommend writing your representatives giving strong support for the actions of the WDFW in their action to eliminate the wedge pack, or we may be faced with future wolf and wildlife management being dictated by an emotional public that has had their views corrupted and biased by anti-hunting and animal rights propaganda. We live in a very political world, so we must learn to play the game. Please write your representatives.
It is emotion driven now! When the wedge pack topic came into light most of this forum had no interest in it!!

This thread went 32 pages and had almost 500 posts, and there were numerous other threads on the Wedge pack topic.http://hunting-washington.com/smf/index.php/topic,103213.0.html
Ranker is not anti-WDFW. In fact he was one of 8 Senators that got the fish and wildlife enforcement bill passed last year. This is the same bill that created the new law of hunting while trespassing. The bill as a whole was the biggest fish and wildlife enforcement bill in state history. At the time of the writing of the article Ranker was the chairman of the senate committee that oversees the WDFW. There has been a big brawl in the Senate now in which the Republican party is now in the majority since two Dems went to the R side. So it is up in the air if Ranker has now lost his chairman's seat.
