[quote author=Wenatcheejay link=topic=115391.msg1517718#msg1517718 To those whom don't want to go don't. I'd be fine if people decided to just not do it. But I am not OK with Government Officials whom are sworn to uphold the State Of Washington and Federal Constitution deciding they know better. I see the round about way this thread is being steered to support gun registration. I'd doubt a poll would support such a move. But, who knows?
I think what Jay is saying is that if the people decide they dont want gun shows, that's fine but he doesnt want gov't deciding for us. Jay--correct me of I'm wrong.

Charging me money for the "right" to do something I can do for free anywhere else.Come on man! How is the event even going to happen without some form of dues collected at multiple points. Rent out a collosal event center, pay the lights and heat, advertising on all the radios..... You gotta pay to play!$35 a year is a great deal if you hit up a couple of shows a year. Protected from the environment, organized event with any one there wanting to buy or sell having in their possession a concealed pistol license. Not a single felon in the bunch buying or selling, just legit straight up guys. You are not going to find conditions like this anywhere else. If someone sees a person not following the rules, turn them in. Protect the event. Sorry Ice, I disagree. Now I have never been to one, but from what I am seeing here its a waste of money. And the best way to pay for the event center is the same as any other "fair or show". If you want a table or booth you rent it.

They do have a table fee. It is a waste of your money in your opinion. Do you pay a fee to go to the sportsmans show?

That's why they charged what is called Admissions!!! I pay to access the event!!
So correct me if I'm wrong!! But the sellers have to buy a table space that's even if they don't sell anything. But then on the honor system they are also required to pay a part of what they make as well. As a commissionI guess that's why I quit sitting on the other side of the table many years ago!!
