Kenmore or Wades Gun Range
« on: January 12, 2013, 05:37:29 PM »
Interested in hearing your opinion's on Wades and Kenmoore Gun Ranges. I want to go shoot my new .44mag and don't want to drive out in the woods everytime. Any other ranges on the Eastside you would suggest? I have shot at Kenmore rifle and trap range many times but am not familiar with there handgun range.

Thanks!

i ve only shot handguns at kennmore a handful of time but i believe that its only open to the public on the weekends after noon. they've got a good operation over there, the rifle range is plenty of fun, but i do feel bad for the rangemasters that have to deal with some of the people that come in and have no idea of what they are doing. friendly staff too

Don't think the public can shoot handguns at Kenmore, just rifles.
It is what you meant it to be...

Yes Kenmore has a public pistol range.  Fixed range targets 25 or 50 yards:

Wades has opened up Wades North. They bought the old Boeing employees range in south Everett on Airport road. The store is open now, not too much stock yet, and the range opens up in a week or so. They were very nice when I stopped in there and gave me the grand tour. I think it will be a major upgrade from the Sams' range that was there previously. I shoot at Kenmore all the time but only the rifle range and the trap/skeet range. I've never used the pistol range.

This isn't Wades it's West Coast Armory.

West Coast Armory.  I stopped shooting a Wades a few years ago after he fired all the good RSO's and canned the plate shooting league.  I found myself playing RSO at times, which isn't what I went there to do.  Maybe it's better now, but I don't know.   :dunno:

Thanks for the replies, I will stop by Kenmore and check out there pistol range. I have spent countless hours at there trap range and many at there rifle range. And if I am up in everett I will stop by west coast, it has been awhile since I have been in there anyway.

Still looking for some ammo, .44mag and 45acp, anybody seen any around in the local stores?

Thanks,
H&F

West Coast also has a place right there where 405 and 90 intersect.

Kenmore pistol range is terrible, definitely go indoors. Kenmore is fixed distance, you can only hang 1 target, and the target changes are 30 minutes. I'm a member there but it's still not really worth it to shoot pistol. Luckily they have a good member rifle range and archery there. Maybe that's okay with your 44 mag, but sucks for compact 9mm's. West Coast has a GREAT facility in Bellevue and they are re-opening the old Sam's in Everett, supposedly in February but that date keeps sliding so we'll see.

I’ve stopped by Wades a few times to look around their store.  Everything I looked at was extremely overpriced!  I wouldn’t buy anything there.  I don’t know what the range prices are.  They do offer pistol rentals.

However, I’m going to take some people from work over there (because it's convenient)  to shoot for the first time.  I love to see people change their tune from I don’t like guns to that was really cool!    :IBCOOL:
