Help! Having issues with my Knight Wolverine...

I took my Knight Wolverine out of the safe last week and tried to pull it apart to clean it, but the endcap is completely stuck.  There must have been some crud in there from last season that gummed up. 

Anyways, I've used wrenches, rubber gloves and heat to try and get this thing undone, but to no avail.  It won't move.

Any suggestions for getting this out without causing harm to the weapon?  The season is fast approaching...

If you mean the bolt,Ive had that happen.

I spray it with a good penetrating oil and let it soak a bit.
Put gun in a vice and use a pair of channel locks or vice grips with a rag around thE bolt for protection.

i ALWAYS PUT A COAT OF GREASE ON THE O RING TOO.

Penetrating oil and let it soak. I assume you are talking the breach plug. Also try tightening and then loosening using a tapping action on the end of whatever wrench you are using to
break it loose.

What is a good penetrating oil?  WD40 didn't seem to do the trick, but I don't know if that qualifies and 'penetrating' oil.

Kroil is the best penetrating fluid I've found.  PB Blaster is another good one.  Plain old kerosene also works.

Aero Kroil is good,  PB Blaster is decent.

 Set the barrel in a bucket with super hot water, pour a little Marvel Mystery oil down the muzzle and let it soak until the water is cool. Pull it out and unscrew the breech plug, been there done that and found this on another sight. Once you got it apart clean the threads with a stiff brush to clean the gunk out. Also like HntNFSH said grease the O-ring befor you reassemble it and youll be good to go.

Ok.  Nothing worked.  I soaked it in PB for about twenty, then tried.  Nothing.  Tried again.  Nothing.  Then I tried the bucket trick with hot water as mentioned above (minus the Mystery Oil, PB was sustitute).  I got water to a boiling point, then filled a bucket just enough to cover the affected area.  Then, for good measure, hit it with the PB again.  Nothing.  This morning, gave it a real good soaking, let it sit all afternoon, and tried.  Nothing. 



I'm sure we're all on the same page, but this is problem spot.  I don't know if you can see in the photo, but there's some damage to the endcap (thats what the owner's manual called it) and I'm reluctant to torque on it much more with that particular wrench. 

Um...any other ideas?

 Sorry about my post above, I thought you were talking about the breechplug is what you couldnt loosen. Obvious 1st, are you turning it the right way? It needs to go to the left away from the safety. 2nd, when toy put it back together last year ,was it hard going together? Like maybe cross-threaded?

The manual says counter clockwise, so thats the way I've been turning it. 

And no, I learned from a very young age (thanks Dad) to NEVER screw anything together if there's resistance, due to cross-threading. 

Maybe I should just take the thing to a gunsmith.   !

I hate to say it but it may be that time(gun smith), especialy if you want to use it in the next couple of weeks
