We shot this Pintail teal mix this morning. We were really happy to shoot this hybrid. My friends dad is going to have it mounted in a resting position. We also managed to drop 9 other birds.

:yeah: That's what I was thinking  :dunno: Although I vaguely remember reading somewhere that hybrids count as one or the other species (your choice) or no species, or something like that  :dunno: It was a while ago........can't quite remember  :dunno:

My guess would be closer to that of a drake mallard. Not sure if a lil Greenwing could fight it's way up to a hen Pintail for breeding. Just thinking out loud.

Do you have any other pictures of the rest of the bird?  Was there any other traits of another species any where else on the bird.  Neat looking bird.
