My first limit
« on: January 13, 2013, 05:10:41 PM »
So i finally got my first limit yesterday was done in about an hour hunted 7: 25am - 8:35am  :IBCOOL:. I had my Dad up from Texas watching me hunt and it turned out to be  my best day yet. It was Amazing, birds every where. Saw one of those true black cloud flocks of wigeon of at least 1000. hunted on a different side of the field but was with crow killer  and the gang and was apart of the 5 man limit...got to watch them fill a four man limit still on other side of the field, it was pretty cool to get to really just watch and study the birds and how they Reacted on decoys and calling.
If you can't play with the big dogs then STAY on the porch.

Nothing gets your blood pumping like a hen coming into your spread and committing. Then you whack it and say... Damn that was a spoonie!  :twocents: BTW i have always wanted to shoot a drake in full plume for a mount. Looks like you shot a Juvenal drake.... Good hunts make you addicted!
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Yeah that was my first drake shovler, a little older i would have probably put that guy on the wall. I shot him and took out his lady friend behind him 2 in 1
