Thanks noob. and kinda off the subject but i went down to my little honey today to check up on my beaver population ive been watching them for years they are up to ten in the pond its self but theres atleast two up stream.Anyway i went to check on them today and found three otter swimming around in there and was wondering what would be a good set to get the otter out of there.As soon as i remove the otter i will switch my focus to the beaver.Also i was wondering if the otter will target the beaver in there den as i said before there are ten all residing in the den and only three of the otter no telling how long the otter been hangin out as i hadnt been down there since late october...

Yeah the test wasnt bad nor the studying it was kinda nice learning some new stuff as far as the biology of the animals go.

I don't think the otters mess with the beavers, especially since the otters benefit from the beaver's activities.  And, they don't compete for food.

I have not witnessed it but I am sure otter would take young kits, maybe beaver up to their own size.  Otter are just a big overgrown mink.

Otter do kill Nutria so I would imagine they would take a small kit beaver.
Of the otter I trapped in OR it was very common for them to have a bite in the middle of their chest. The last bite a nutria ever took.

Well i walked back down to the pond today no sign of the otter  kind of bums me out maybe the will return once i get some sent floating around..........
