Old Bullets and New Rifle

My last rifle (pos) had a 1/48 twist so I was using Maxi-Hunter Lead bullets (350 Grain) I've got a couple boxes of those bullets left.  I've replaced it  with a Knight Disk Extreme (yes, it's sweet) with a 1/28 twist.  Will the tighter twist shoot the lead bullets accurately?  Will the bullets "strip" out of the rifling? Should they be loaded lighter?


While I plan to shoot a modern bullets with sabots, I just thought it would be nice to have have the flexibility of other ammo....you know.  In case the world ends.

the maxiballs should do good out of the knight. I know in my cva, 80gr BH209 does awesome. They also love 70gr pyrodex P.

No-problem, I shoot .503-460 grain Bull Shops out of several of my Green Mountain barrels.  As long as you do not drive them real hard (to much velocity) leading is a minimum, but you will have to clean out the barrel with a good lead solvent once in awhile.
