I am seriously trying to start the new year off right !!

Where do I start ?? O.k So my boys ask me why I have not been wanting to go Steelhead fishing I tell them I am fed up with how this state has totally screwed up one of the best Steelhead rivers that ever flowed threw Washington ...THE SKAGIT ...I am just tired of dealing with them ...Seriously , they have wore BH45 OUT ! I am not sure how you guys take me but one thing I can guarantee I am always fighting for what I believe in ..and one is the freedom to hunt and fish ..I can guarantee you , no one has run ins with the wardens more than I do...9 times in 2012 and now 1 time in 2013  Not even the end of January yet !!!! So back to the fishing issue ...On Monday my boys head to the river fishing and it is open but you can not keep native steelhead and we all know this So anyways after they are done fishing they call me up to come and get them .. As I come under the bridge I look across the river and there are nets everywhere My boys are fishing about 1/4 mile above them ...SENSELESS  So they come up to the road and are walking toward me as I drive up . I stop and they say you will not believe this ...I said what now ...they say the warden was watching us fish with Bios and was hidding in the bushes ....LMAO !!!! I have been threw this so many times in my life and now my boys have to go threw it    That s all fine and dandy until I pull up to the warden and get out to let him have my opinion on this situation and yes he should of just drove off when I pulled up because they know I always have something to say and you would think they would get tired of me and make it a point to leave ASAP before I get started ... To get my point across we had a few words and mainly my biggest beach was that the Indians had 6 nets strung across the river and the warden is worried about my 2 sons with fishing poles trying to catch just one for fun and freezing their arzes off in the process ...Just messed up     All there is more to this  To Be continued !!!

It sounds like you are basically putting a target on you and your kids. He is doing his job right? Do you feel that you are accomplishing something by driving up to "let him have my opinion on this situation and yes he should have drove off when I pulled up because they know I always have something to say.......and make it a point to leave asap before I get started..."

Sorry Bow......who do you think you are that an officer should quit doing their job just because it is your kids that are the ones fishing? Do you go up to a police officer watching a speed zone and say who they heck are you to try and catch ME speeding?

Sheesh man......it seems to me that you may have a bit of a chip on your shoulder and maybe they should be keeping an eye on you. Are you sure you arn't being the antogonist and bring this on yourself?

or bowhunter and his kids could be getting harrassed, it isnt like that hasnt ever happened before, hey bowhunter have you ever been cited for doing something illegal? you dont have to answer of course, but if your answer is no then it could be that if your successful often, then they could be thinking there is no way you could be catching fish unless your doing something illegal

Yes....I agree....he could be. However.....if his kids are fishing and simply being observed by an officer and he is the the one that rolls up and starts going off I would say he is bringing this on himself. Yes...I agree...this has happened before and it is fairly clear to me why.

I agree with you both. I think he is being harrassed for some reason  . But I also agree that it probably wasn't the best choice to drive up to and chew out a gamie. A crappy attitude may be the reason for the continued harrassment. My question to BH45 is is it always the same gamie?

I seriously could careless what they think ...Why do we always have them breathing down own freakin necks Is it because we are OUT THERE TO MUCH that they just happen to be where we are !!!!!!!  And you know I have nothen to hide and I am not afraid to tell you about Game violations ...Yes I have a couple ...One being shooting 20 min after shooting hours ....ABOUT 20 + YEARS AGO and another shooting 2 ducks over my limit because to many got in the way  That also was 20 Some tears ago !!!!! all but they are dieing to add more to my collection 

So back to fishing    at about 10:30 yesterday I decide to hit the river and just see what is up ...I get above the nets and start fishing ...I figured I best go and have my time with the steelhead gods and bless the water I so much love and the fish I so much love to catch ...after an hour the gods blesssed me as usual ....Here is to the Indian Nation ...I SOLUTE YOU !!! GOD BLESS AND ENJOY THE MEAL I JUST SO GENERALOUSLY GAVE TO YOU !!!! JUST SAYING !

Im with you brother. those that do nothing and let people run over them will always be run over.

I am 90% sure I will hunt Oregon this year vice washington. I really would not like to run into a gamie in the area I hunted in washington. I just might go to frickin jail.
its all good until they start ruining your life. then you got a sour taste in your mouth and it cant be flushed out..

Of all the gamie rants I haven't heard one yet from Bow about being run over? So far it is all about "how dare they check on me".

From the postings it sounds like they (gamies) are treating him about equal to how they are being treated....with doubt and suspecting the worst.

Hey I am sorry man but they give me no reason to like them ... they run there traps about me and nothen they claim is true ... I hunt hard as I can and that's why we are successful ...NOTHEN ELSE....I buy a license every year and I am sorry I take full advantage of it ....I do not buy a fishing license for my boys and expect them to stay home ..this is why we have kids on drugs and doing other things they should not be doing ...Harassing a kid while he is fishing is telling him he can not do it freely ...they both had a little tackle bag with them and he checked both bags ....was he looking for a 20 lb steelhead or what ...?? Kids should be fishing and that's what they want to do but this state is way off course when it comes to values we were accustom to when we were kids ....Think about it ...Its not right and I am not hidding in the corner over issues that I call BS on !!!!!!!!

You know what though, if you've checked someone 9 times in a year and not found anything illegal going on, why would you waste your time checking again, and again.  Sounds like a bit of harrassment to me, even if there have been some attitude issues.  Just because someone might be an arse (not saying you are BH  ) doesn't mean that they are a law breaking arse.

Not going to disagree with anything so far.

Just saying that the bigger deal someone makes it out to be the harder they may be pushing back. Probably not a lot of people out this year and making yourself a target in this manner will most likey result in getting checked again and again. I'm not suggesting anyone not make the most out of their license or not fish/hunt. Regarless....with comments saying that anytime they are in the area he "gives them a piece of his mind" will get him checked each and every time he steps out the truck.
