where are you trapping?

Just wondering where folks are trapping this year i have yet to even start just completed my exam today and have began building my own traps i when i do get the ball rolling i will be all around the darrington area......... Being brand new to the field was wondering about good bait options for bobcat starting off also will be going after marten has anyone caught any marten in live traps......

I can and will gladly show you the place. it  is state owned land ..

NOt sure on the trapping rules but if it is legal I will gladly show you the place...

yes ive heard beaver is an all around great bait.has any one tried any of the lures you can buy on line.How do they work.I was considering purchasing some castor ive got 9 huge beaver in the stream and pond below my house ive been watching them since there were only two close to seven years now time to thin them out i think.also can we use live bait such as rats in washington state.......

For the lynx study they conducted in the Methow, I believe they primarily used beaver to bait the traps. The lynx apparently loved it. One or to lynx in particular became accustomed to the traps. They would get caught, eat the bait, get released, only to end up in a trap the next day. That same scenario would sometimes play out for several days in a row.

If you're talking about the sloughes below Burbank you're correct it's full of beavers and muskrats. But it is owned by the Feds not state. (Mcnary wildlife refuge) and they don't allow trapping.

Im gonna try around colockum a little this year maybe...as well as around my home, Stanwood...I got a guy who has otter and beaver on his property...and he dont want em.
