Please Report Moose Sightings
« on: February 21, 2013, 11:41:27 AM »
Reporting Moose Observations

Moose have been increasing in abundance and distribution within Washington for a few decades. Moose are now common and a hunted species in the northeastern portion of the state, but are increasingly observed in other areas of the state as well. We seek your assistance in helping us identify where moose have recently been documented.

Looks like that's between Tonasket and Oroville, on the east side of hwy 97.

(The "19" should be 119)

Do they want every sighting reported? Cause we see em all the time here around Cheney. Cows, calves, bulls.... I know just round the house here we see about 6-9 different ones throughout the year.

I think they are wanting to learn about moose moving into new areas. Cheney GMU is part of the Hangman Moose permit, but it can not hurt to report them.

You don't need to post the loacation here. If you report to WDFW I'm not sure they will publisize exactly where they were at, I think it will help them understand distribution.  :dunno:

I need to create a site like this for elk and blacktails in SW Washington. Give me to coordinates whenever you see one!  :chuckle:

I agree, the state could really use some help in the goat dept. Doubt they would take it.
